I'M WISHING (ONE SONG)

Once upon a time, in a kingdom far more splendid than any other, there lived a King whose name
was Faithful and True.  He was strong and brave, yet tender and humble.  Riding on a white horse
holding a magnificent sword, he protected his kingdom and all his subjects with virtue, justice, and
grace.  The time came for him to take a wife and he chose for himself a very special young woman.
She was lovely in every way and well pleasing to him.  Her spirit was gentle and quieted and when
she spoke, her words were like apples of gold in settings of silver.   Her behavior was always chaste
and respectful and every place she went, beauty seems to increase.  She was skilled in the arts,
using all her talents to make herself and her surroundings a delight to the eye and a comfort to the
soul.
On the day they were to be wed, there was great excitement as she prepared herself for her groom.
She washed herself carefully in the Word, hiding it in her heart so that she would never be unclean
before her husband.  She applied the sweet aroma of prayer to praise and bless her husband who
would always provide for her every good and perfect gift from his storehouses above.  She dressed
in fine white linen spun from her righteous deeds.  Around her neck she fastened a necklace which
had been passed on from her mother and grandmother...it was finer than gold and more precious
than rubies...it was made of wisdom which had been a gift to all the women in her family, hammered
and shaped by the craftsmen Suffering and Trials.  And last, she brushed her hair until it positively
shone, reflecting the light which she knew was supplied to her by her groom.  She was ready to
accept the crown that he would place as a covering for her head signaling that the two were now
united as one.
After they exchanged their vows...he promising to lead and provide for her, to love her and to give
his very life for her...she promising to submit to him and respect him...there was a great celebration
and feast.  All rejoiced at this perfect union and noted that the bride was absolutely radiant.  The
groom was esteemed and congratulated so much that he too was beaming as if gaining this bride
was a prize far greater than all earthly riches.
Our story ends as the two lovers enter the gate of the beautiful garden the bride had been tending
her whole life.  No one had ever been invited past the gate before, and now with great joy it became
their place of celebration and sharing.  He delighted in her beauty and how he now felt complete
because of her and she rejoiced in his strength and how she now felt fulfilled because of him.  And
they lived happily ever after.

Thanks mom.
